Company description::
The ADDvantage Learning Academy (ALA) is a K-12 charter school whose mission is to create an extraordinary learning environment where every student’s unique potential (brilliance) is fully realized. The school provides a flexible, year-round educational system that focuses on creative learning solutions for each student. Students, teachers and parents will partner to unlock the student’s passions to make learning fun, challenging, and engaging. The ALA will reach students that might otherwise slip through the cracks when taught using traditional teaching methodology.
The ADDvantage Learning Academy will be a public charter school that anyone may attend. Enrollment will be done by application process. Parents will attend an annual orientation to align with the philosophy, ask questions, make requests and partner with teachers. We will also offer training to teachers and parents on a monthly basis (separately and jointly at times). Included are transformational methods, coaching, specialists, business and community leaders, athletes, vocational specialties, educational specialties…basically the idea is for everyone involved to learn how to learn. The ADDvantage Learning Academy is scheduled to open Fall 2008.
